Julianne Stoughton, M.D., F.A.C.S.
A native New Englander, Dr. Stoughton began her practice in the Northern Suburban Boston area doing General and Vascular Surgery in 1994. After completing her medical education at Dartmouth and Brown University Medical School, she completed her residency and vascular surgical fellowship at the Strong Memorial Hospital/University of Rochester program. She received certification in General Surgery in 1995 and Specialty Boards in Vascular Surgery in 1997. She holds hospital privileges at Winchester Hospital, Hallmark Health and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Stoughton is an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Tufts University Medical School and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the American Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Society, Association of Woman Surgeons, Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery, New England Vascular Surgery Society and the American Association of Vascular Surgery and, a member of the American/World Venous Forum.
Nancy L. Cantelmo, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Cantelmo joined the VeinSolutions practice in the Boston area in 2003. She completed her undergraduate degree at Barnard College and medical education at New York Medical College. Boston University and University of Massachusetts Medical Center are the sites of her surgical residency and she completed her vascular fellowship at Boston University. She is certified and recertified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Cantelmo has clinical privileges Winchester Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston VA Medical Center. She is currently an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cantelmo was the first woman surgeon in the New England Society of Vascular Surgeons and is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgeons, a member of the American Venous Forum and the American College of Phlebology.
Sherry Scovell, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Scovell is pleased to have recently joined Vein Solutions. She is a board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon who has been practicing at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for the past five years, and has a strong interest in the endovascular treatment of venous disease. After completing her medical education at the University of Cincinnati Medical College, she completed her general surgical residency at the Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. She then completed a two year vascular and endovascular surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She received her board certification in General Surgery in 2002 and her Specialty Board Certification in Vascular Surgery in 2003. She holds hospital privileges at Winchester Hospital, Hallmark Health, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Dr. Scovell was recently inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has been an Instructor in Surgery at Harvard. She is an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, New England Vascular Surgical Society, and the Peripheral Vascular Surgical Society.
Soo Rhee, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Rhee received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 2000. She completed her general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center in 2006 and her vascular surgery fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2008. She received her board certification in general surgery in 2006. She holds hospital privileges at Winchester Hospital.
Judy Giordano, Medical Aesthetician
Ms. Giordano is a licensed aesthetician and graduate of Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics. She has been a leader in the cosmetic industry for over 20 years. She has worked with some of Boston’s leading Plastic Surgeons and consultant for many of the top wellness centers in the greater Boston area.
Trained and certified in Laser, IPL/Photofacials, Advanced Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion, she is a specialist with extensive experience in Age-Management Treatments.
Judy enjoys customizing skin care programs for her clients and educating them on combining good home care products with professional treatments.
Deborah A. Sanford, R.N., R.V.T.
Deborah is a registered Nurse and registered Vascular Technologist. She achieved this credential by passing the national registry exam given by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). The ARDMS promotes quality care and patient safety through the certification and continuing competency of ultrasound professionals. Deborah has been Technical Director of our Accredited Vascular Laboratory since 2002. She brings over 20 years of experience to our vascular practice and is now dedicated to venous diagnostic ultrasound.
Deborah is a member of the Society of Vascular Ultrasound, a national society dedicated to the advancement of noninvasive vascular technology used in the diagnosis of vascular disease through education programs, publications and certification. She is also a member of the local chapter of Greater Boston Vascular Technologist.
Our laboratory is accredited through the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICVAL). ICVAL provides a voluntary method of which vascular labs are held accountable to provide high quality care to their patients.
