Meet the Doctors

 

 

Steven S. Gale, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Gale has been in practice at JVP since 1982. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and his master’s and medical degree from Columbia University in New York. Dr. Gale completed his surgical residency at Vanderbilt University and his vascular surgical fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. He earned the Army Commendation Medal in 1967 while serving as Platoon Leader in Vietnam.
  

Dr. Gale is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Vascular Surgery. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. Dr. Gale serves as the Associate Director of the Jobst Vascular Center for Vascular Laboratories. He and his wife have two children. His enjoys music and plays the guitar and mandolin, and he is an accomplished artist.

 

 


 

Andrew J. Seiwert, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Seiwert has been in private practice since 1995. He joined JVP in 1997 after serving two years with Lake Shore Surgical in Holland, Michigan. Dr. Seiwert earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Biology from Benedictine University. He completed his medical training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, earning his Medical Degree in 1986.
 

Dr. Seiwert finished his general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at Butterworth Hospital/Michigan State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He then completed a Peripheral Vascular Surgical Fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center/Thomas Jefferson University in Danville, Pennsylvania. Dr. Seiwert is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Vascular Surgery. He and his wife have three children. His hobbies include photography and he is very active with the Boy Scouts.

 

 


 

Todd E. Russell, M.D, F.A.C.S.

Dr. Russell returns to our practice after two years in Augusta, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate and medical education at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Russell then relocated to Johnstown, Pennsylvania for his surgery residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, an affiliate of Temple University. His vascular surgery fellowship was completed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. 

 

Dr. Russell became board certified in surgery in 1998. He is also board certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. His areas of interest include endovascular treatment of both occlusive and aneurysmal disease as conventional vascular surgery. Dr. Russell and his wife have four children. His hobbies include, hunting, fishing, archery and golf.
